Your portfolio
Track every Ardent CrowdFund investment in one place, positions, performance, documents, and issuer updates.
Your portfolio
Your portfolio is the single pane of glass for everything you've backed on Ardent CrowdFund. It aggregates positions across equity, debt, and convertible instruments, pulls together all signed documents, and surfaces every issuer update in reverse-chronological order. This page walks through each section of the dashboard and what the numbers are telling you.
The portfolio dashboard
When you log in and click Portfolio, the first screen you land on is the dashboard summary. At a glance it shows you how much you have committed, how much is deployed, what's earning interest or still pending close, and what cash flows are coming in the next 30 days.
Portfolio summary panel (mock data)
The four tiles at the top of the dashboard are:
- Total committed: every cedi you've subscribed for, including pending subscriptions still in cooling-off.
- Total deployed: what has been released to issuers from escrow. Deployed = committed minus anything still in escrow awaiting close.
- Interest earned YTD: gross debt coupons received this calendar year, before withholding tax.
- Next payment: the gold tile; shows the cedi value and the expected date of the next distribution across your entire portfolio.
Below the tiles you'll find the allocation bar (a 60/33/7 split in the example above) and the activity feed.
Reading a debt position
Click any debt campaign in your positions list to open the detail drawer. The drawer is split into three panels:
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Principal outstanding | The face value of the loan still owed to you at today's date. |
| Coupon rate | The fixed annual rate you agreed to in the subscription agreement. |
| Next payment date | Calendar date of the next scheduled payment, mirrored on the dashboard. |
| Next payment amount | Principal + interest due on the next payment date. |
| Interest earned to date | Gross interest received across every coupon since the campaign closed. |
| Days past due | 0 when current. A non-zero number triggers a warning colour. |
| Effective yield | Your realised annualised yield after fees and withholding tax. |
The bottom of the drawer shows the full amortisation schedule: every scheduled payment, status (Paid / Scheduled / Late), payment method it landed on, and the exact settlement timestamp.
Reading an equity position
Equity positions show a different set of fields:
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Shares held | Number of shares issued to you after campaign close. |
| Share class | Ordinary, preference, etc., matches the offer document. |
| % ownership | Your fully diluted ownership as a percentage of the issuer's cap table. |
| Cost base | What you paid per share at subscription. |
| Estimated value | Latest per-share mark × shares held. The mark updates after each priced funding round or annual valuation. |
| Unrealised P&L | Estimated value minus cost base, shown in cedis and as a percentage. |
| Last dividend | Date and cedi amount of the most recent dividend, if any. |
The activity timeline
The activity feed is a chronological log of everything that has happened across your portfolio. Each event type has its own icon:
- Subscription: a new commitment placed.
- Escrow release: funds moved from escrow to issuer.
- Coupon received: a debt interest payment landed.
- Principal repayment: scheduled or early debt repayment.
- Dividend received: an equity dividend landed.
- Issuer update: a material update posted by the issuer.
- AGM notice: an equity AGM has been announced.
- Statement generated: a monthly or annual statement is ready.
You can filter the feed by event type, campaign, or date range, and export the result to CSV for your own records or for your accountant.
Downloading your investment certificate
Every confirmed subscription gets an investor certificate: a signed PDF that proves your holding. For equity it carries the share count, class, and certificate number; for debt it carries the principal amount, coupon rate, maturity, and a unique note reference.
To download:
- 1
Open the position
Portfolio → Positions → click the campaign.
- 2
Click Certificate
Top-right of the position drawer, beside the export-schedule button.
- 3
Certificate is emailed and downloaded
The PDF is generated on-demand and watermarked with your investor ID and today's timestamp. A copy is archived under Documents so you can re-download it any time.
Certificates are regenerated automatically after any corporate action that changes your holding, e.g. a share split, a bonus issue, or a partial debt repayment, and the superseded version is archived rather than deleted.
Statements and tax documents
Ardent produces two recurring investor statements you'll want to keep:
Monthly statement
Every position's opening and closing value, all cash flows in the month, fees charged, and withholding tax deducted. Generated on the 3rd of each month.
Annual tax summary
A consolidated view of gross interest, net interest, dividend income, and withholding tax credits, formatted to align with Ghana Revenue Authority filings. Generated in early February for the prior calendar year.
Both are under Portfolio → Documents and can be downloaded as password-protected PDFs or as CSV.
Tax considerations for Ghanaian investors
A few other things to be aware of:
- Dividend income on equity positions is subject to its own withholding regime (currently 8% for resident individuals). Ardent handles the deduction in the same way.
- Capital gains realised on a secondary-market exit are not withheld at source today; they should be self-declared in your annual return to the GRA.
- Non-resident investors may be subject to different rates under Ghana's double-taxation treaties. Ardent applies the standard resident rate by default; to apply for a treaty rate, attach a tax-residency certificate in your profile and raise a support ticket.
Exporting your portfolio
The Export menu in the top-right of the dashboard lets you pull:
- A CSV of every position, cash flow, or activity event across any date range.
- A PDF statement identical to the automated monthly statement but for any custom period you pick.
- A ledger file (CSV) suitable for import into Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
Exports are encrypted at rest and every download is logged; you can see your own download history under Security → Activity log.
