Cap-table management

How Ardent CrowdFund maintains the shareholder and debt registers for every issuer, on- and off-platform.

Cap-table management

Ardent CrowdFund acts as the record-keeper for every security issued through the platform. We maintain the shareholder register for equity issuers, the debt-holder register for debt issuers, and we keep a synchronised view of any securities held by off-platform investors (e.g. founders, angels, institutional VCs). This page explains how the register is built, kept current, and made available to issuers.

What the register contains

Holder identity, instrument details, tranche, nominal value, and any lock-up or vesting terms.

On-platform vs. off-platform holders

How the register treats holders who came through Ardent CrowdFund vs. existing holders brought onto the platform at issuer onboarding.

Events that update the register

Subscriptions, transfers, conversions, buybacks, splits, and corporate actions, all of which generate register entries.

Keeping the register authoritative

How Ardent CrowdFund coordinates with the issuer's company secretary and the Registrar-General to keep the register authoritative.

Issuer access and audit logs

What issuers can see and change themselves, and what requires a formal request with a supporting board resolution.

Export and reporting

Generating holder lists for AGMs, dividends, coupon runs, and tax filings.

Trust, transparency, and versioning

How register entries are immutable once committed, and how investors can verify their own holdings at any time.
